80th Anniversary Festival
The Sant’ Ippolito statue outside of the church waiting for the Procession to begin. Sant’ Ippolito religious candles were available for purchase. Many attendees purchased the candles to light during the Procession and to have at their homes or for friends and family. Attendees gather inside Sts. Cornelius & Cyprian Catholic Church waiting for the Mass to begin. Guinevere Christian was lead vocals and played the piano, while John-Paul Cherniawski played the violin. They both did a wonderful job as the musicians for Mass. Guinevere was instrumental in the planning for Mass inside the church. We appreciate her reverence and willingness to plan the Mass. Father Enzo Addari and Father Mark Inglot lead the Procession after Mass. It is tradition for attendees, often grandfathers, fathers, and grandsons, to carry the statue during the Procession. Musicians lead our attendees in the traditional “Procession Song” each year! Thank you to our musicians! Attendees follow reverently in the Procession with their candles lit while singing the Procession song. It is tradition for the younger generation to carry the religious banner during the Procession. Each year children are excited to be a part of the tradition! Family members participating in the tradition of pinning money on the Sant’ Ippolito statue. Once the Mass and Procession are completed, families gather together for a family style home cooked meal. Many families gather together days before at home to make sure their family recipes are perfected for such a special day! Attendees wearing their Sant’ Ippolito shirts at the festival. Thank you to Teresa Fata for designing our 80th Anniversary t-shirts! It was wonderful seeing everyone wearing them at the festival! We welcomed a crowd favorite this year, Iorio’s Gelato!
